Alte Sfere presents the WinteRace third edition - ortina d'Ampezzo 5 - 6 - 7 March 2015

From 5 to 7 March 2015 the "Queen of the Dolomites" will still host the WinteRace third edition. The Event organised by Alte Sfere is reserved to 80 cars built within 1976.

Registrations will close on 12 February 2015.

Participants will challenge among a route of more than 400 km, day-time performed. 70 trials divided into 43 trials with photocell detections and 9 trials of average to the tenth of a second with 27 detections.The sinuous Austrian Valley of Osttirol as framework, besides imposing Dolomites Passes of Alta Badia and Sudtirol, icy circuits and snowy roads. 

The winner of the WinteRace 2015, obtaining the best results among the two kind of detection, will be rewarded with a Tonda Métrographe by the prestigious Parmigiani Fleurier. The crew obtaining the best result among average tests will receive a 100 grams gold bar of 3.500,00 euros value, by the BSI Bank.

The Event will begin with sports and technical checks at the prestigious Cristallo Hotel Spa & Golf *****L on Thursday 5 March. The Race Director briefing to follow and the Welcome Light Dinner offered by the BSI to all participants.

Austria will be indeed the protagonist of the first stage on Friday 6 March: after leaving Cortina, the crews will join Dobbiaco and San Candido. Arrived in Austria cars will cross Sillian, Sankt Justina, Bannberg, to get in Lienz for the presentation in the historical town and stop for lunch; then starting for Oberdrauburg, continuing on Kotschach, Sankt Jakob, Liensing, Maria Luggau, Obertilliach and Sillian and than back to Italy, facing the latest trial in Misurina before finishing the stage in Cortina d'Ampezzo. 

On Saturday 7 March the stage will start always in Cortina. The crews will go towards the Falzarego and Valparola Passo, crossing The Villa and Corvara in Badia, continuing to Passo Gardena, crossing Ortisei and joining the historical Abbey of Novacella, then stopping for lunch; participants will start again for Chienes, Piccolino, Passo Campolongo and Passo Giau, to return back to Cortina d'Ampezzo, where cars will be showed to public.

The Event will end on Saturday evening with the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
Several packages for the 2015 WinteRace are arranged by the organisers with the intent to promote female crews with "Under 35" and "Lady" proposals, as well as youth participation in Classic Regularity races.

The WinteRace aims to be placed in a context where fun and driving ability are privileged, along an extraordinary unique route, helped by an organisation focused on crews' needs and a 5 stars hospitality supported by the major Sponsor and Partners, who renew their presence also for the 2015 edition.

Another 2015 edition novelty is the collaboration with PORSCHE SKI ITALY CLUB providing for the combined ski/car: the crews who wish it can participate in ski tests on Sunday morning 8 March and will be linked to the skiers of Porsche Ski Italy Club who will perform time trials on a frozen circuit with their modern cars and will also make a tribute opening presentations of historic cars in Corso Italia.

The Event enjoys the Senate and Automobile Club Belluno support, the town council of Cortina d'Ampezzo and the Austrian city of Lienz. Reconfirmed the collaboration with the Mille Miglia Museum of Brescia for this year.

Porsche Centre of Padua Sponsorship and Porsche crews services have been reconfirmed

 


Porsche Centre of Padua, direct subsidiary of Porsche Italy, renews the WinteRace 2015 Sponsorship.

"PORSCHE 5 STARS HOSPITALITY"
package, promoted by Porsche Centre of Padova, is reserved to crews on Porsche cars and it includes the full hospitality at the modern Grand Hotel Savoia *****, at the facilitated entry fee of € 2,000.00 instead of € 2,250.00.

A Porsche Italia engineer and a mechanic of Porsche Centre of Padua are at crews with Porsche cars' disposal as service assistance, during the two Race stages.

Enrollment to WinteRace 2014 are now open

We are glad to inform you that enrolment to WinteRace 2014, C.S.A.I. Regularity Race that will take place on the Dolomites with both start and arrival in Cortina d’Ampezzo from 20th to 22nd February 2014, are now open.  

Only 80 vehicles built within 1976 will be admitted.

The Organizing Committee, on the basis of the 2013 positive feedback, decided to propose again 6 Average Tests with 21 timekeeping which will coexist with 42 Regularity Tests with photocells, along a route of 400 Km divided into two legs. Regularity Tests will take place also among snowy and icy circuits, close to traffic and specifically prepared for the race.

The crew who will obtain the best result among Average Tests will win a 100g Gold Bar of 3.500 euros value, kindly offered by our sponsor VP BANK, private bank in Luxembourg.
