The first half decade of the WinteRace! The 2017 edition is entirely “Made in Italy”

This fifth edition will once again be held in the wonderful Cortina d’Ampezzo.
The Super Classica ACI Sport is organised by Alte Sfere and it is reserved to 80 cars built within 1976.
It will take place from March 2nd to March 4th 2017 along new and enthusiastic trials in the Dolomites.

Registrations are now open and will close on February 10th 2017.

Considering last years’ successful debut of the PORSCHE WINTERACE, there will be the 2nd edition dedicated to maximum 30 cars selected by the organizers: historical cars (built from 1977 to 1990) and modern ones (built from 1991 since today) will start at the end of the race and will have their separated ranking and prizes.

Participants will challenge among a route of more than 400 km long with turns, icy roads, fairy-tale towns and glamour cities. The race will be during the day and will have
72 time trials divided into 60 trials with photocell detections and 4 trials of average to the tenth of a second with 12 detections.

The crew winner of the WinteRace 2017 will be rewarded with a 100 gram gold bar of the value of € 3.500,00 given by our Main Sponsor BSI private bank.

The new sponsor Girard-Perregaux, Swiss leader in high-quality watches, will give the prestigious Sport Competition watch with silver quadrant and leather band.

During the awards ceremony, crews registered to WinteRace through the site, Partner of the race, will participate to the extraction of a Mini Ipad Apple.

The event will begin on Thursday, March 2nd with sports and technical checks at the prestigious Grand Hotel Savoia *****, followed by the briefing of the race Director and the Welcome Light Dinner offered by the BSI.

The race will then start on Friday, March 3rd in Corso Italia. After reaching the impressive and suggestive Falzarego Pass, cars will proceed towards Arabba, will go up on Pordoi Pass and will then proceed towards Canazei in order to arrive in Moena, where they will stop for lunch. In the afternoon they will head towards Alleghe, after having crossed San Pellegrino Pass. They will then go back to Cortina d’Ampezzo through Giau Pass and tests on the Fiames circuit.

On Saturday, March 4th  the second stage will once again start in Cortina from Corso Italia. Crews will head to Tre Croci Pass; will transit by Palus circuit, Auronzo. Santo Stefano di Cadore and then go up San Antonio Pass, Padola, and will arrive in Monte Croce Pass for lunch.

The beautiful towns of San Candido and Dobbiaco will welcome the cars which will then go back to Cortina d’Ampezzo.

As for every edition, a great number of people will be waiting for their arrival and crew presentations.
At the back end there will be the prestigious cars of the 2nd Porsche WinteRace which will certainly attract the attention of the audience.

The event will end on Saturday evening with the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony.

Among the several packages offered by Alte Sfere, apart from the particular attention to those participating with Porsche cars, there will be “Under 40” and "Lady" proposals, created to promote young and female participants.
