The tenth edition is scheduled from 9 to 11 March 2023

The organization day by day is developing a level program following the typical canons of WinteRace: heart, passion and charm. Registrations opened on September 1 and will close when the 70 crews admitted. The route will develop in two stages for a total of about 400 km and will be held 66 timed tests. The first stage of the race includes the crossing of five Dolomite passes (Falzarego, Valparola, Gardena, Campolongo, Giau), a stop for lunch in Piazza del Duomo in Bressanone and a visit to the Abbey of Novacella. The second stage marks a return of the WinteRace on the Austrian roads between sport and local culture: in Lienz the crews will be welcomed by costumed and return to Italy will live for the first time the passage and the stop in San Candido, with a visit to the DoloMythos museum and then back to Cortina d’Ampezzo.

WinteRace 2022: last news

The 9th WinteRace edition is already at the starting gates. The organizers have already confirmed that they have reached the predetermined number of registrations which will guarantee the presence of 70 cars (50 sports cars in the Classic section and 20 modern cars in the Iconic section) on the catwalk and racing on the Dolomite roads next 3 – 5 March. The race which this year is on the A.S.I. (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) calendar in the name of the Circolo Veneto AutoMoto d’Epoca Giannino Marzotto.

Among the registered crews, 8 are under 40, significant confirmation that the classic passion is finding new life, 3 consist of father and daughter, 1 consists of father and son and 1 of brother and sister (class ’89 and ’94), who will arrive from Perugia driving an MG TD of 1952.

20 car brands will be represented: among the most interesting cars we would like to mention the Aston Martin DB 2 Vantage of 1950 arriving from Holland;  the Aston Martin DB 4 produced in March 1959 (the ninth car built in the series whose engine has an abbreviation that appears only on 5 samples); Triumph roadster 1800 of 1948; OM of the thirties; two Fiat 508 of 1935 and of 1937 (two versions with different engines); different cars protagonists of the rally world, such as the Mini Cooper Innocenti of 1966 (it took part in several editions of the Montecarlo) and the Opel Ascona 1900 SR Gruppo 2 of 1974. Among the most interesting innovations related to current automotive production, the presence of the Aston Martin’s Mission X fleet has been confirmed with the possibility to test the entire range of the English Brand during the WinteRace.
